Fertility problems sometimes originate from hormone irregularities. Other tests can be important to do prior to becoming pregnant. Your doctor may order one or more of these tests:
- Thyroid testing
- Rubella titer
- Blood type and antibody screen
- AMH level (a test of your ovarian reserve)
- Baseline FSH and estradiol levels
- Hemoglobin A1C (a diabetes screening test)
- Infectious disease tests
Other tests are often ordered if you have specific diagnoses, such as polycystic ovary syndrome.
