Duke Fertility Center supports anyone who wishes to grow their family, including individuals with a desire to build a family on their own.
Single Women
Duke Fertility Center can help single women on your journey to parenthood with intrauterine insemination (IUI), also called artificial insemination, or in vitro fertilization (IVF) with the assistance of donor sperm.
You will meet with a fertility specialist to discuss your goals. Once necessary evaluations and testing are completed your provider will create an individualized plan for you.
Safeguard Your Future – Egg Preservation
Duke Fertility Center has a state-of-the-art facility and technology to freeze and store your eggs for future family building.
Egg preservation requires many of the steps taken in an IVF cycle, such as ovarian stimulation, ultrasound monitoring and egg retrieval. Your eggs will be frozen on the same day that they are retrieved.
Single Men
For single men, the path to parenthood will involve an egg donor and a gestational carrier, also known as a surrogate. Your sperm can be used or you may choose to use sperm from a donor, which will then be used to fertilize donor eggs in the lab and placed in the gestational carrier’s uterus.
To begin your journey, you will meet with a fertility specialist and discuss your plans. Once necessary evaluations and testing are completed, you can begin your journey to parenthood.
